List of Known Potions in the Wizarding World
A
Ageing Potion-
The ingredients are unknown to this potion. This potion was used by Fred Weasley, George Weasley. and Lee Jordan to try to fool the age line drawn by Dumbledore around the Goblet of Fire.
Amortentia-
This potion is the most potent of all Love Potions that are known. It appears a pearly colour and it has steam that rises from it in a certain form of spirals. It also seems to take on the smell of whatever the person smelling is most attracted to. The word Amortentia is derived from Latin from "Amor" meaning love and "tempto" meaning to attempt to influence.
B
Babbling Beverage-
This potion causes the drinker to speak incoherently or about nonsense. The ingredients have never been named but it was mentioned by Professor Snape in OotP.
Blood-Replenishing Potion-
This is a potion that is used to replace lost blood. This was the potion given to Arthur Weasley after being bitten by a snake.
Boil Cure Potion-
This is a rather simple potion learned by first years at Hogwarts. It is quite often used to cure the effects of the Furnunculus Spell. The ingredients include, dried nettles, stewed horn slugs, crushed snake fangs, and porcupine quills. (NOTE: Do not add the porcupine quills until you have removed the cauldron from the fire. Failure to do so will result in an acidic green smoke and a loud hissing sound as well as a melted cauldron.)
C
Calming Draught-
This potion is used to calm a person in a state of emotional turmoil. It is similar to the Draught of Peace.
Confusing Concoction-
This potion is used to cause confusion as the name clearly states. Also see: Confusing and Befuddlement Draught.
Confusing and Bufuddlement Draught-
This potion is used to cause confusion. The effects are similar to the Confusing Concoction. The ingredients include Lovage, Sneezewort, and Scurvy-Grass.
Cough Potion-
Ingredients are unknown currently but it presumably treats coughing. Be careful of using this though, the Weasley Twins were known to repackage their products from their joke shop to look like the Cough Potion so they could get past security at Hogwarts after their items were banned.
D
Deflating Draught-
This potion is the antidote for the effects of the Swelling Solution.
Doxycide-
This black liquid is used to knock out Doxies so they can be gotten rid of. It usually comes in a spray bottle form for easy application.
Draught of Living Death-
This potion is used to cause a person to fall into a very deep sleep. When made properly, this potion should be a dark purple midway through the making. Then it should change to a light shade of lilac. This potion also releases a blue coloured steam when brewing. The ingredients for this potion are Valerian roots, sopophorous bean, and asphodel in an infusion of wormwood. (NOTE: The most effective way of making this is to not follow the instructions completely in 'Advanced Potion-Making'. You should use a silver dagger with the flat side to crush the sopophorous beans. This makes getting the juice out of it easier. The book states to cut the beans but this is not very effective. Also, the book does not mention that you must add a clockwise stir after every seventh counter-clockwise stir.)
Draught of Peace-
This potion is used to calm someone down. It treats anxiety. This potion is commonly taught during a student's 5th year of Potions class. The known ingredients are syrup of hellebore and moonstone that is powdered.

Exploding Fluid-
This substance is mentioned briefly in the book 'Magical Beasts and Where To Find Them'. The ingredient known is Erumpent Fluid.

Unfortunately if too much is taken, the drinker will be reckless with his/her actions, become so overconfident that it is dangerous (such as taking very high risks), and if taken at a very high dose it will become toxic to the person consuming it. It appears the colour of molten gold. Went this substance is exposed to open air, large drops of it will leap up in the air but will never spill out of the container. This potion is very hard to make according to Professor Slughorn and it is disastrous to make it to make incorrectly. (NOTE: This potion is banned in organized competitions.)
